Manchester was great, place was packed. Thank you to everyone that came out! Nothing else scheduled for right now as we zone in hard on recording new material. Resuming back in the recording studio September 2nd!
The first major lineup shift of the tour began yesterday as we dropped Joe off at the airport. Which we really, really did not want to do. This first 3 weeks of the tour was our first time on stage with him. The time flew by. Joe brought it every night on stage & was exactly what we'd hoped for in a new bass player. Behind the scenes he brought it just as hard with always helping out with everything that needs to be done. Whether it's driving the van, loading the Ampeg 8x10 up 2 flights of stairs, or reorganizing 3 months worth of merch bags every week.A lot of you got to meet him through the midwest & mountain states. We will miss him & look forward to jumping back on stage with him asap!📷 by Hoos Photography#joecryptic#thecryptics#cryptics#bassist #bassplayer #bass... See MoreSee Less
As the night went on in Minneapolis, temperatures dropped and dropped. Until it reached -11°F and even worse with wind chill. The van was needing jump starts for a day just to turn on. Until the following morning in Fargo where the intense cold of somewhere between -20 & -30°F with wind chill destroyed both batteries. We managed to get the van to the battery shop after it closed. Being the warrior he is, Nate who is filling in for us on the entire tour was cool with staying behind as the remaining 3 of us hightailed it to the airport to rent a car. We packed what we could and sped across North Dakota to make it to Bismarck just in time. We played as a 3-piece. The show was super fun & there were a lot of people that came out to Rhythm Records and Cafe. It was all worth it. The next morning the batteries got replaced, we met up and headed to Rapid City for last night’s show. Which we also had a blast at with our new friends Someday Best at The Cave Collective.Last night we also picked up Tommy Barvick who is filling in on guitar with us for the next 2 weeks. Last night, tonight in Omaha, and both Des Moines shows tomorrow will be a 5-piece! We can’t thank Nate enough for hanging behind in Fargo so the band could make the Bismarck show and we’re stoked to have our new homie Tommy out here with us! We’ll be playing in a few hours here in Omaha, Nebraska where the temperatures are actually double digit positive! ... See MoreSee Less
Went ice skating last night on a good sized pond. 2 of us for the first time ever. Andy was the expert busting out all the moves.Today we're venturing towards Fargo. It is indeed -3°F right now. So cold that the van wouldn't start without a good power jump earlier but we've got it going and are on the way.See you tonight at The Aquarium w/ Colton Jay & Copium - 7pm doors, 8pm music ...
